The Sexual Abuse Counselling Programs in Goodna and Toowoomba provide specialist counselling and group work for children and young people under 18 years who are subject to child protection statutory intervention and who have been sexually assaulted. We give counselling and support to children and young people that will enable them to process the impact of sexual abuse, develop healthy strategies for expressing a range of feelings and develop healthy and safe relationship skills.
The Sexual Abuse Counselling Programs also give specialist counselling to children and young people up to the age of 12 years who are subject to child protection statutory intervention and are displaying problem sexual behaviours. Non-offending family members (including siblings) and carers can also receive support, psycho-education and training, which provides an holistic, wrap-around service that enables positive and consistent messages to be implemented.
Referrals are only accepted from the Department of Communities Child Safety Services.
